Pumping and Pressure Systems
Food Grade Stainless Pump Supplier in the Philippines for Processing Plants
SS304 and SS316L wetted-material selection, named pump brands and lead time bands, and PH commercial terms for food and beverage processing buyers.
What a Food Grade Stainless Pump Supplier Actually Has to Get Right
A food grade stainless pump supplier search usually means one of three problems: a carbon steel pump is shedding rust into a potable line, an auditor flagged undocumented wetted parts, or a new line needs pressure the building supply cannot deliver. JOHOB Hardware Trading quotes pumping and pressure systems for all three: booster sets, transfer pumps, submersible pumps, vertical multistage units, and the VFD duplex control panels that run them. We are an industrial equipment supplier, not a factory. We source from established European brands (Grundfos, DAB, Speroni) and from Chinese engineered lines (CDL vertical multistage), then deliver with local warranty and after-sales support in the Philippines. That matters for food plant specification: we are not locked into one factory's material options. If SS304 wetted parts are correct for your duty, we quote SS304. If your process requires something else, we go back to the factory rather than talking you into whatever happens to be on the floor. Tell us the fluid, temperature, flow, and required discharge pressure, and we confirm in writing whether the duty is within scope. We would rather decline a line than quote a pump into a service it was not built for.
SS304 or SS316L: Picking the Wetted Material Before You Buy
Stainless is not one material, and food grade is not one specification. The two grades that dominate food and beverage service are SS304 (18/8 chrome nickel) and SS316L (molybdenum added, carbon held low).
| Grade | Typical duty | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| SS304 | Potable water, general utility, most CIP rinse water | Not for chloride-heavy service |
| SS316L | Brine, seawater-influenced supply, acidic product (tomato, fruit), aggressive sanitiser | Confirm chloride content and CIP chemistry before spec |
Chloride pitting is the failure mode that catches most Philippine plants out: a pump running years on municipal water can pit within months on brine transfer duty. Three questions decide it: what is the chloride content of the fluid, what is the operating temperature, and what chemistry runs through the pump during clean-in-place. If you can answer those, the grade is usually obvious; if not, send your water analysis and we will read it against the duty. There is a second decision underneath the grade: which parts have to be stainless. On a utility booster feeding a food plant, stainless wetted parts on the pump end may be all the spec requires; on a process transfer duty it usually extends to the piping and fittings. We quote SS304 braided flexible hose and stainless valves and fittings alongside the pump so the hygiene standard does not drop at the joint. Confirm the material spec on the RFQ and it appears on the quotation, not as a verbal understanding.
The Pump Brands We Source, and What Each One Costs You in Lead Time
We source pumps from four lines, and the choice moves your schedule more than it moves your hydraulics. Grundfos, DAB, and Speroni are the established European brands: broad parts availability, well documented curves, and the option most engineering consultants will accept without an argument. CDL is a Chinese engineered vertical multistage line that meets the same duty points at lower landed cost. Both routes are legitimate. The wrong choice is brand loyalty over delivery date and parts support. Two lead time bands apply. Ex-stock configurations ship in 21 to 35 days. Made-to-order builds, which includes most non standard wetted material and most custom VFD duplex panel work, run 45 to 90 days. If your plant has a shutdown window booked, put the date on the RFQ, since a technically perfect pump landing three weeks late is a failed order. Control gear follows the same logic: we build VFD duplex panels with Inovance drives through Chutian so panel delivery matches pump delivery. For the reasoning behind European versus Chinese pump brand reliability in the Philippines, including parts lead times and service network depth, our buying guide walks through the trade off with numbers rather than brand preference.
Certification Documents Your QA and Engineering Teams Will Ask For
Food plant procurement almost always ends at a documentation review. On the equipment we supply, available manufacturer documentation includes ISO 9001 quality management system certification for the factory, TUV SUD test reports, and CE marking on electrical equipment. On pressure vessels where applicable, ASME applies. We forward the manufacturer's documentation with delivery rather than issuing our own, since a certificate has to come from the party that made the equipment. Be precise with your QA team: ISO 9001 covers the factory's quality system, not your pump's wetted material, and CE marking covers electrical safety, not food contact. If your audit requires evidence of a specific wetted material grade, say so on the RFQ, since that has to be arranged before the build, not after the pump lands. We will not claim accreditations we do not hold. JOHOB Hardware Trading has no PCAB accreditation, stated upfront rather than discovered at contract stage. If your project scope requires a licensed contractor for the installation portion, plan for that separately and we will supply and deliver the equipment.
Lead Times, VAT, and Zero-VAT for PEZA and SBMA Locators
Pricing is quote based. We do not publish pump prices, since landed cost moves with configuration, freight, and exchange rate. What we do commit to is response speed: RFQs get a reply within 1 business day. Tax treatment is worth settling early since it changes your approved budget materially. 12 percent VAT applies to VAT registered buyers in the normal case. Zero-rated VAT applies to PEZA and SBMA locators and to exporters, subject to your documentation. If inside an economic zone, tell us on the first message, since a quote reissued from VAT-inclusive to zero-rated wastes a purchasing cycle. Delivery is nationwide. We supply into NCR and the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Mindanao, and the PEZA, SBMA, and Clark zones. Equipment comes with local warranty and after-sales support, the term stated on the quotation before you release a PO. Two lead time bands again, because they drive everything: 21 to 35 days ex-stock, 45 to 90 days made-to-order. Build your shutdown schedule from the made-to-order band unless we have confirmed stock in writing.
What to Send Us So We Can Price Your Pump
A pump RFQ we can price in one pass has six items. First, the fluid: potable water, CIP return, brine, or process liquid, with temperature. Second, the required flow, in litres per second or GPM, either figure is fine and we will convert. Third, the required discharge pressure or total head. Fourth, the wetted material specification if your QA team has already fixed it, or your water analysis if they have not. Fifth, the electrical supply at the plant and whether you need VFD control or fixed speed. Sixth, the delivery deadline and whether it is tied to a shutdown window. If replacing an existing pump, a nameplate photo answers items two, three and five in one shot. For plants inside an economic zone, add your PEZA or SBMA registration details so the quotation carries the correct VAT treatment from the first version. Send that and you get a reply within 1 business day, a quotation or a specific question. If the requirement falls outside what we supply, we say so directly rather than quoting something close.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply food grade stainless pumps outside Metro Manila?
Yes. Delivery is nationwide across the Philippines: NCR, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Mindanao, and the PEZA, SBMA, and Clark economic zones. The pump specification does not change by region, but freight and delivery timing do, so include the plant address on your RFQ. Lead times are 21 to 35 days ex-stock and 45 to 90 days for made-to-order configurations, measured from confirmed order, with delivery to site added on top for provincial locations. We reply to RFQs within 1 business day.
Should I specify SS304 or SS316L for my processing line?
SS304 covers potable water, general utility duty, and most CIP rinse service. SS316L, which adds molybdenum and holds carbon low, is the grade to specify when chlorides are present: brine, acidic product contact such as tomato or fruit, or aggressive sanitiser chemistry. Chloride pitting is the common failure mode, and it can appear within months on a pump that ran for years on municipal water. If you are unsure, send your water analysis, the fluid temperature, and your CIP chemistry, and we will read the duty before quoting a grade.
What certifications come with the pumps you supply?
On supplied equipment, available manufacturer documentation includes ISO 9001 quality management system certification for the factory, TUV SUD test reports, and CE marking on electrical equipment. ASME applies on pressure vessels where relevant. We forward the manufacturer's documentation with delivery rather than issuing certificates ourselves, since JOHOB Hardware Trading is the supplier and not the manufacturer. If your audit requires documented evidence of a specific wetted material grade on the delivered unit, state that on the RFQ so it is arranged with the factory before the build rather than after shipment.
Are you VAT zero rated for PEZA and SBMA locators?
Zero-rated VAT applies to PEZA and SBMA locators and to exporters, subject to your registration documentation. VAT registered buyers outside those zones are quoted with 12 percent VAT applied in the normal case. Tell us your zone status and send registration details on the first message, because reissuing a quotation from VAT inclusive to zero rated costs a purchasing cycle and can push a shutdown schedule. Pricing itself is quote based: we do not publish pump prices, since landed cost moves with configuration, freight, and exchange rate.
Which pump brands do you source, and does brand choice affect delivery?
We source Grundfos, DAB, and Speroni among the established European brands, and CDL for Chinese engineered vertical multistage pumps. Control gear is built with Inovance VFDs through Chutian, including duplex panels. Brand choice affects delivery more than hydraulics: ex-stock configurations ship in 21 to 35 days, while made-to-order builds, which covers most non standard wetted material and custom panel work, run 45 to 90 days. If you have a shutdown window booked, put the date on the RFQ so we quote toward the date rather than around it.
Is JOHOB Hardware Trading PCAB accredited?
No. JOHOB Hardware Trading is not PCAB accredited, and we state that upfront rather than letting a procurement team assume otherwise. We are an industrial equipment supplier: we source from Philippine and Chinese factories, deliver nationwide, and provide local warranty and after-sales support on what we supply. If your project scope requires a licensed contractor for the construction or installation portion, plan that separately and engage an accredited contractor for it. We will supply, deliver, and support the equipment, and coordinate technical details with whoever performs the installation.
