Varem is an Italian manufacturer of expansion vessels, pressure tanks, and heat exchangers, founded in 1973 and producing from two plants in Italy, at Bovolenta and at Limena. The company describes its output as fully Italian manufactured and distributes into more than 100 countries. Its catalogue splits into a Heating Line (EXTRAVAREM, STARVAREM, MAXIVAREM), a Hot Potable Water Multifunction Line (EXTRAVAREM LC, MAXIVAREM LC), a Water Line built for pumping and distribution duty (AQUAVAREM, IDROVAREM CE, INTERVAREM, INTERVAREM LS CE, MAXIVAREM LS CE, PLUSVAREM, INOXVAREM LS CE, ZINCVAREM LS CE, FLOVAREM), and a heat exchanger range (PLATEVAREM, BRAZEDVAREM). The bladder pressure tank is rarely sold alone. Most orders arrive as a booster package: the vessel plus a pump set plus a control panel, sized and commissioned together. Pump brands we source include Grundfos, DAB, and Speroni among established European names, plus CDL engineered vertical multistage pumps for cost sensitive projects. Control is supplied through Chutian panels built around Inovance VFDs, including VFD duplex control panels. Buying the vessel, the pump, and the panel from one supplier removes the interface argument that happens when a tank fails and three vendors point at each other.

The two terms are used interchangeably in Philippine tender documents, and they are not the same component. A diaphragm vessel uses a fixed membrane bonded across the tank, separating water from the air charge. It is cheaper, it is fine for smaller and steadier duties, and when the membrane fails the whole vessel is usually replaced. A bladder vessel uses a replaceable butyl or rubber bladder that holds the water entirely inside it, so the water never touches the steel shell. That matters for two reasons. First, potable duty: no contact with the tank wall means no corrosion product entering the supply. Second, serviceability: on a 500L or 1,000L vessel the bladder can be changed on site instead of craning out and replacing a full pressure vessel, which is the difference between a half day outage and a shutdown. For commercial booster sets in hotels, hospitals, and laundries, the bladder tank is usually correct. For small pressure maintenance duty on a single pump, a 200L diaphragm pressure tank is often sufficient. • System working pressure and pump cut in and cut out settings in bar, which set the required PN class
• Required drawdown volume in litres, not tank nominal volume
• Pump flow rate, in LPS or GPM, plus the motor rating (see our GPM to LPS conversion guide)
• Allowable pump starts per hour, since cycle rate target drives tank sizing upward
• Fluid and temperature, confirming the duty sits inside the 0 to 99 degrees C band and whether the service is potable
• Connection type and size, flanged DN50 to DN150 or threaded, plus orientation and pump room footprint

Buyers comparing a Varem vessel against an alternative are usually comparing certification paperwork, so here is the honest position. Equipment JOHOB supplies carries certification appropriate to its type: ISO 9001 quality management systems at the manufacturer level, TUV SUD testing, CE marking on electrical and material handling equipment, and ASME certification on pressure vessels where applicable to the specific item. Varem, for reference, declares its own vessels under the PED CE Directive with CE marking, which is the European route for pressure equipment. If your specification names a particular certification scheme, tell us at RFQ stage and we confirm in writing before order rather than after delivery. We will also state plainly what we do not claim. Commercial terms are where an imported brand and a locally supported supply chain separate. Standard lead times are 21 to 35 days for ex stock items and 45 to 90 days for made to order configurations, so a project that needs a 2,000L PN16 vessel with a matched duplex set should start the RFQ at least two months before the required commissioning date. RFQs receive a response within one business day. On tax, 12 percent VAT applies to VAT registered buyers in the ordinary case, and Zero-VAT treatment applies to PEZA and SBMA locator supply and to exporters, which is worth confirming at quotation stage rather than at invoicing. Delivery is nationwide: NCR, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including PEZA, SBMA, and Clark zones where gate pass and locator documentation requirements differ from ordinary commercial deliveries. A bladder tank performs only as well as the pump and control logic in front of it.
