Commercial Booster Pumps for Buildings and Industrial Facilities in the Philippines

Vertical multistage booster pumps from Grundfos, DAB, Speroni, and CDL, in simplex, duplex, and triplex configurations with VFD control panels, supplied nationwide with local warranty and after-sales support.

What commercial booster pumps does JOHOB supply?

JOHOB supplies commercial booster pumps sourced from Grundfos, DAB, Speroni, and CDL vertical multistage ranges, in simplex, duplex, and triplex configurations. Duplex and triplex systems include VFD control panels with Inovance drives to hold constant pressure across varying demand. Motors are supplied for Philippine voltage standards, 220V or 380V 3-phase 60Hz, and every system is delivered nationwide with manufacturer warranty and local after-sales support.

CDL vertical multistage pumps carry most mid-rise commercial duty, where head requirements run 20 to 100 meters and pump room space is constrained. Grundfos, DAB, and Speroni units are specified where the consulting engineer calls for European-origin equipment or a particular brand. The pump is only half the system: the VFD duplex control panel and hydropneumatic bladder tank decide how stable the delivered pressure actually is, so we quote the three together as one complete pump system.

Simplex, duplex, or triplex: which configuration fits your building?

Configuration follows peak flow and redundancy requirements. Simplex serves small commercial buildings up to about 125 GPM. Duplex, the standard for mid-to-large commercial, reaches about 350 GPM with two pumps in lead-lag rotation and keeps supply running if one pump fails. Triplex reaches about 750 GPM in lead-lag-standby for high-rise, hospital, and industrial process duty.

ConfigurationPeak flow coverageTypical duty
Simplex (1 pump)Up to 125 GPM (28 m³/hr)Boutique hotel, small clinic, small office
Duplex (2 pumps, lead-lag)Up to 350 GPM (80 m³/hr)Mid-to-large commercial, hotels, laundries
Triplex (3 pumps, lead-lag-standby)Up to 750 GPM (170 m³/hr)High-rise, large hospital, industrial process

Redundancy decides as much as flow. A hotel can tolerate a short pressure dip; a hospital sterilization line cannot, which is why around-the-clock operations specify duplex at minimum and standby redundancy where the engineer requires it. On our completed Taguig commercial laundry project, a duplex system of two CDL 20-5 pumps (11 kW each) holds wash-line pressure within plus or minus 2 psi across all peaks.

VFD control panels with Inovance drives

VFD control is the standard for commercial buildings with fluctuating demand. The panel modulates motor speed against a pressure setpoint instead of cycling pumps at full power, which typically saves 25 to 40 percent in energy, and adds lead-lag rotation to equalize run hours, soft-start protection for motor life, and IP54 enclosures for mechanical room installation.

Fixed-speed configurations remain available for very small, low-cycling applications where the VFD cost is not justified. The crossover logic, affinity laws, and payback math are covered in our VFD vs fixed-speed pumps guide.

Who buys commercial booster pumps from JOHOB?

Hotels specify duplex VFD systems for bimodal morning and evening peaks. Hospitals specify redundancy for patient floors and sterilization. Commercial laundries pair boosters with storage tanks for sustained high-flow duty. Offices and mixed-use buildings size to fixture demand, and SBMA, Clark, and PEZA locators take delivered-to-site supply with zero-rated VAT documentation where eligible.

The vertical pages carry the engineering detail per industry: hotels and hospitality, hospitals and healthcare, commercial laundry, and SBMA / PEZA locators.

How to request a booster pump quotation

Send us your building type and floor count, fixture count by type or the as-built plumbing plan, utility supply and rated flow at your service connection, and any special demand such as on-site laundry, commercial kitchen, or irrigation. If you already have WSFU counts, include them; if not, our guide on how to size a booster pump for a commercial building shows exactly how the demand math works. We return a written sizing recommendation and configuration proposal within 3 to 5 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

What brands of commercial booster pumps does JOHOB supply?

JOHOB sources booster pumps from Grundfos, DAB, and Speroni, established European brands, and CDL vertical multistage pumps for projects where head requirements run 20 to 100 meters and space is constrained. Brand selection follows the project specification, budget, and any consulting engineer brand preference. All pumps are delivered with manufacturer warranty and local after-sales support.

2

Do you supply VFD control panels with the booster pumps?

Yes. Duplex and triplex systems ship with VFD control panels built on Inovance variable frequency drives, with IP54 enclosures, pressure feedback, and auto-alternation to equalize pump run hours. VFD control typically saves 25 to 40 percent in energy versus fixed-speed operation. Fixed-speed configurations remain available for small, low-cycling applications where the VFD cost is not justified.

3

How do I choose between simplex, duplex, and triplex configurations?

Simplex covers small commercial duty up to about 125 GPM (28 m3/hr). Duplex covers mid-to-large commercial buildings up to about 350 GPM (80 m3/hr) with redundancy if one pump fails. Triplex covers large commercial and industrial duty up to about 750 GPM (170 m3/hr) in lead-lag-standby. Redundancy requirements decide as much as flow: around-the-clock operations specify duplex at minimum.

4

How do I size a booster pump for my building?

Sizing runs from your fixture schedule: count Water Supply Fixture Units, convert to peak simultaneous demand on Hunter's Curve, calculate required head from building height plus friction plus residual pressure, then select configuration and motor size. Our step-by-step guide on how to size a booster pump for a commercial building walks through the full method with a worked hotel example.

5

Does JOHOB install booster pumps, or only supply the equipment?

JOHOB supplies the equipment with installation drawings, wiring schematics, and commissioning support, coordinated with your mechanical contractor. For complete water systems where the tank and booster pumps are delivered as one turnkey package, our sister brand TankSmith handles design, supply, and installation coordination.

6

Can PEZA or SBMA locators purchase booster pumps with zero-rated VAT?

Eligible PEZA and SBMA locators are supported with zero-rated VAT documentation, and standard pricing includes 12 percent VAT for VAT-registered buyers. Pricing is quotation-based per configuration. See our SBMA / PEZA locators page for how delivered-to-site supply works for Subic Bay, Clark, and PEZA zones.
